Shackets: the new fall trend everyone is loving right now and the the shirt jacket marriage we didn’t know we needed! It’s the perfect blend between menswear style, oversized, and cozy. I’m all about comfy & cute style, so this is one fall trend I can DEFINITELY get behind!
I’ve noticed there seems to be two different versions of the Shacket. One is fits more like a shirt but is slightly thicker than your average flannel top. The other looks like a flannel shirt but fits like a lightweight jacket. It’s sometimes hard to tell online which one you’re going to get, but I’ve noticed if they show pictures of it with the sleeves rolled up a bit, those are the ones that will fit more like a shirt vs a jacket.
Most of the Shackets have an oversized fit, but I have seen a few out there that are more fitted. The more fitted options I’ve seen have been a bit pricier at stores like Nordstrom & Abercrombie, but for this post I wanted to focus on affordable options. So just a heads-up, most of the ones I’ve found that are affordable fall into the ‘oversized fit’ category.
