Hey Girl!  So Glad You’re Here!

Here’s a little more about me and why I started this blog:

• I. Love. Clothes! Hence why I originally started this blog. Since then it has evolved to sharing a lot of everyday life, home décor, quick and easy recipes, my favorite beauty items, and of course still a lot of fashion! Some of my favorite places to shop right now are:

• I have super dry but also very oily skin, so my beauty routine is constantly evolving to try and find what works for me. The thing I struggle with most is breakouts and flaky skin after applying makeup, so I’m always trying out new products to help with these issues.
• I’m pretty short, 5’3″ to be exact, and although I’m slender I do have curvy hips and a behind so I often struggle to find good fitting clothes. I will try to post as many petite-friendly items as possible to help out my other short girls out there!
• I’m a HUGE introvert, which is funny because I married a huge extrovert.  Opposites do attract!  But I am so thankful that blogging has pushed me out of my comfort zone, and I’ve met some amazing girls through it who are some of my closest friends now.

• I got married on 9-23-17 to my amazing husband Chris. We bought our first house in Oct 2016 and currently live just south of Nashville, TN. We love hiking, kayaking, and camping (when he finds me a campground with a good bathroom) and you can often find us at one of the amazing parks around Nashville on nice days. Love this man with all my heart <3
  • Side note, Chris and I met 100% by chance and had a pretty adorable ‘meet cute’. I was finishing up college over the summer of 2014 and was at an apartment complex pool to celebrate a friends birthday. We had the pool all to ourselves until Chris and his friends showed up, which I was naturally annoyed by (Chris will agree that I’m super sassy by nature). His friends proceeded to squirt me and my friends with water guns and of course my sassy self kept giving them nasty looks, that is until Chris decided to swim up to me. Long story short, Chris struck up a conversation with me, which led to us swimming around together, and then a little kissing in the pool (sorry mom and dad!). An hour after we met I told my friends I was going to date him (they told me I was crazy) and after our first date a week or two later I told them I was going to marry him (they again told me I was crazy). Obviously I knew what I was talking about and I thank God every day that we both happened to be at that pool on June 21st, 2014. 

• We have two sweet fur-babies, Shadow & Saber.  Shadow is around 6 and was found in the middle of the woods while my husband was hunting 4 years ago.  Saber is around 3 or 4 and was a stray adopted from our local shelter 2 years ago.  They are the happiest boys and now living their best lives!  Both are Border Collie mixes and everyone always thinks they are brothers.

• One last tid-bit about me, I have a chronic pain condition called Interstitial Cystitis which is another name for painful bladder syndrome. Basically, I always feel like I have a bladder infection (UTI) even though no infection is present. Millions of women suffer from this condition and it is finally becoming better known in the medical field. To manage this condition I can’t eat or drink anything acidic, that means no tomatoes, citrus, coffee, alcohol, etc. (yes, it sucks). Luckily my IC has been well under control lately so I do indulge in a little white wine every once in a while and I drink acid free coffee (checkout Tyler’s Coffee!) a few times a week. This condition has become a big part of my life and if anyone ever has questions for me about it please reach out and also make sure to checkout the IC Network!  * And shout-out to my amazing husband who is always super patient with me when I’m feeling under the weather, which can be pretty often.
