Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my Christmas décor. But after putting it all away and cleaning up all that glitter (and there was a lot of it), I was ready for a simple, clean look. I decided to start with updating my rustic tablescape & buffet since it was the area that looked most bare in the holiday aftermath.

I first wanted to get some new faux flowers and greenery for my centerpiece, so I ran over to my local Old Time Pottery since they always have a ton of affordable options. Well.. I of course walked away with a lot more than that! I did find some really pretty faux greenery pieces that were only $2-$3 a piece, as well as a gorgeous little faux flower mix I used in the middle of my centerpiece. I also snagged some cute lanterns, a flower bouquet and large mason jar for the vase, some decorative napkins, and the most AMAZING scented candle.

To create my Rustic Tablescape & Buffet, I first started with the table centerpiece. I used a decorative box I had and the mason jars & faux greenery I picked up from Old Time Pottery. I cut some of the greenery down and placed it between the mason jars, and used the rest of the greenery for the two outer jars. For the middle jar I used the faux flower bouquet I found at OTP. It turned out so pretty and I love how affordable it was to make!

I brought in some gold for winter with my chargers and finished off my table décor with some decorative napkins and candle. Clean and simple and I love it!

For the buffet I already had the large jug vase + eucalyptus and our wedding picture up there. I added some pretty lanterns, a large mason jar & pretty faux flower bouquet, and then wove a light garland in between everything. All the items I added were such great affordable finds from OTP!

My advice for creating a simple and clean rustic tablescape:

Start with your centerpiece and anchor everything around that! It’s easier to add more vs trying to take stuff away. I also recommend picking similar tones and colors (greenery and flowers included) for a clean look. And I love adding in a few metal touches for just a little bit of contrast (in this case my gold chargers).
