I love snow, cozy sweaters, and cuddling up by the fireplace. But other than that Winter is NOT my favorite time of the year. Always being cold, dry air = dry skin, everything is staticky… yea not my favorite 🙂 Even though this time of the year is rough on my skin, I finally found some really great products to beat dry winter skin!

Below I’ll list out info for each of the products I use with info about them. You can click the photo below or any of the highlighted text for the link to the products!

Tips to beat dry winter skin:

1.) Use good moisturizers!

I know this one is super obvious, but getting some good moisturizers that work well with your skin is the first step to beat dry winter skin. I use a gel cream in the morning under my makeup and thicker ones at night before bed.

The BEST lightweight moisturizer I’ve ever used! By far my favorite to wear under makeup because it leaves my skin feeling super smooth. It is a tad pricey, so I also would recommend the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel which is more affordable!

I use this after the PTR could cream in any spots that tend to get really dry throughout the day.

This has been my favorite moisturizer to use at night for over a year now! Leaves my skin feeling amazing and has never made me break out (I have super sensitive skin).

If you have extremely dry skin an overnight mask is a game changer!! I put it on after my moisturizer (heavier in dryer spots) and it locks in all of the moisture. I used to wake up with dry patches on my face and haven’t had any since I started using this.

If you are seeing bad dry patches or flaking, try using this at night instead (then the overnight mask). It is very thick, hydrating, and calming. Since it is so thick I only use it when I need to.

2.) Use hydrating serums

This product has made a HUGE difference in my skin during the day! I put it on in the morning and it gives me a gorgeous dewy glow, leaving me feeling super hydrated even before I put a moisturizer on.

This serum is also super hydrating, but also focuses on helping to reduce the look of fine lines and rough texture so I use this one at night.

The Ordinary products are super affordable and work really well! They have a bunch of different serums, but lately I’ve been loving this one as a last step before my moisturizer. Almost feels like an oil and is very hydrating.

3.) Find cleansers that don’t dry your skin out

This is the only face wash I’ve used that did NOT dry my skin out! Really great for sensitive skin. I use this in the morning. * You can use code SWEETSTYLE for 15% off at Tula!

Stop using makeup removing wipes!!!! They dry your skin out SO badly. I started using this makeup removing butter cleanser over a year ago and it was live changing! Removes all of my makeup (even mascara) and cleanses at the same time, leaving my skin feeling super soft afterwards + not dried out.

4.) Use hydrating face masks

Most face masks are a gel substance, this one is a cream sheet mask. Will feel very different and odd when you first put it on, but I promise it is one of the most hydrating face masks you’ll ever use! Also pretty affordable.

When it comes to non-sheet masks, I always use the Peter Thomas Roth ones. The ones I use the most for dry skin are the Cucumber Gel Mask and the Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair gel mask. Above I linked a kit that gives you so much for your money! Favorite face mask kit I’ve ever purchased.

5.) Exfoliate Weekly…but not too much!

To avoid flakes and make sure your products are really able to soak into your skin, make sure you’re exfoliating weekly. I usually do it in the shower 1-2 times a week. If I do it more than that I’ll actually irritate my skin and cause more dry patches / flaking, so I recommend to start off with less and add more if necessary.

This is the one I’ve used for over a year now and it is by far my favorite! Not too harsh on my skin and gets the job done.

6.) For The Body

This is the most hydrating, best smelling body wash I’ve ever used! I have very dry, sensitive skin and this one has never irritated me or left me feeling dry.

The only body lotion I’ll use! I know it’s fun to use the pretty scented ones, but they do NOTHING for my skin. This on is super hydrating but not too thick.
