Alrighty friends, the biggest sale of the year (according to everyone I’ve talked to including my insanely fashionable grandmother) is about to be upon us and this is my first year shopping it!! I’m sure most have heard by now, but if you haven’t each year Nordstrom has their Anniversary Sale mid-late July and the discounts are amazing!
Like I said, this is my first time shopping the sale and I’m both super excited and nervous. There are so many good items that go on sale and I don’t want to miss any of the great deals! So, to follow along with me during the sale and see my favorite picks, bookmark this page and come back on July 12th when the sale starts! I will be linking all of my favorite items + my purchases and when they arrive I will do full reviews / try-on sessions on Instagram!!
Below are some important things I’ve learned regarding the sale:
1.) The sale does not typically include current items at a discount, it includes brand new items for the fall season.
2.) Typically items get restocked and go back to full price when the sale ends, however, some of the most popular items will NOT be restocked.
3.) If there is something you want but are on the fence about, just get it! Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns so if you end up not loving it or realizing it just wasn’t worth the money you can always send it back. Otherwise the item may go out of stock and you will have missed your chance.
4.) Make sure you sign up for Nordstrom Rewards and get your account started (FREE!) before the sale starts (aka, put your address & contact info in + credit card information for easy checkout). This will make shopping the sale easier AND you will start earning reward points with Nordstrom!
5.) Depending on your credit situation, I highly recommend getting the Nordstrom credit card to shop the sale early. More about the card is below!

– Early access to the sale begins on 7/12/2018 for Nordstrom Credit Card holders
– Sale opens to everyone on 7/20/2018
– Beauty Sale begins on 7/20/2018
– Sale ends on 8/6/2018 and all items go up to full price

Basically, if you don’t want to miss out on all the hot items you need the Nordstrom credit card to shop the sale early. Now, depending on your credit situation the card may / may not be a great choice for you so it is 100% a personal choice! That being said, you do not have to put a DIME on the card, you just have to have it to shop the sale early. I went a head and got the card last night and I’m very happy with my decision.

What I’ve heard from a lot of other bloggers is that the catalog is a great sneak peak at some of the Fall 2018 trends and what may-be the most popular items, but it is a very small percentage of what will be on sale. So, don’t be disappointed (like me before knowing this) if you aren’t blown away by the catalog. But, do make sure you save the names / item numbers of your favorites so you can grab them when the sale starts!
