Unless you live way down south, you all know that awkward period between winter and spring when it’s still too chilly for tanks and shorts but too warm for thick boots and fleece jackets. I feel your pain.

Below I’ve outlined a few of my favorite ways to transition from winter to spring.

Bright / Pastel Sweaters

You have spring fever but the temps are still in the 40s – 50s? Solution: bring on the colorful sweaters.

These sweaters are bound to make you feel like it’s spring even if the weather isn’t quite there yet. If you go for a cardigan instead of a pull-over, pair it with a cream or pastel t-shirt / cami to further brighten up your look. (click photos to shop – linked)

Pastel / Light-Colored Blazers

For the working girl (or if you just love a good blazer), these are perfect for moving from winter to spring. Personally, I love light pink, but any light-colored blazer with definitely brighten your office look! If you are going for the ‘spring feeling’ make sure to pair your blazer with a light-colored top or cami. If you are doing a colored blazer, I recommend sticking with cream underneath.

Bright / Pastel Pants

These look great at the office or around town so it’s a win-win! Try mixing and matching a pair of pastel pants with a white t-shirt / cami and a complimenting light cardigan for bright, cozy spring look. Lighter pants are also a great way to re-use your winter sweaters (like I did in the below picture), and pairing them together will still make it look like you are ready for the flowers to bloom <3.

Light-Colored / Tan Trench Coat

My favorite coat for spring 100% is a trench coat. I’ve had a burgundy one for fall for a while and recently snagged a pink one for heading into spring. They are just heavy enough to keep you warm, but thin enough to look like spring. Perfect for those chilly early spring mornings.

P.S. The one I’m wearing in the above picture is almost an exact dupe for a Ralph Lauren trench, but for a fraction of the cost! Both are linked below.
