Reasons why I LOVE Easter:
1.) We get to celebrate one of God’s greatest miracles, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I always take time to reflect on the fact that Jesus suffered and gave his life for our sins, and (this year even more than ever) think about changes I can make in my life to be a better person moving forward.
2.) It’s the biggest holiday in my favorite season: Spring <3 The days are longer, the temps are warmer, the trees & grass are green again, flowers are everywhere.. I could go on and on!
3.) Pastels! As much as I love bright colors, there is something I love about the pale pinks, blues, yellows, and purples that are everywhere in the springtime / worn for Easter.
4.) Ummmm… CANDY! 🙂 (especially those after Easter clearance finds!)
So, as you can see Easter is definitely one of my favorite Holidays! One other thing I love is getting to dress up and go to Church with my family and then come home and cook a big dinner. My dad always makes an amazing ham / side dishes and I usually cover dessert. Now that I’m married I get to spend every-other Easter with Chris’ side of the family and I LOVE getting to watch the kids look for Easter eggs in the backyard. They get so excited to see how many they can find / what is inside each of them! 🙂
