Our Boho Baby Shower this past February was an absolute DREAM! From the event space to the food & décor everything was so beautiful and we had an amazing time celebrating Baby Rains with friends and family. (we did a couple’s shower so not just the ladies!) My husband’s family threw our Nashville baby shower for us and decorated everything BEAUTIFULLY! I’ll share lots of pictures / details below.

First off, if you’re looking for an event space in the Nashville area you HAVE to checkout The View at Fountains in Murfreesboro, TN (just south of Nashville)! While they do have a gorgeous large venue on the 4th floor (perfect for weddings or big events!), we held our baby shower in their new Plaza Room on the 1st floor. This space is very open and has amazing natural light, a catering kitchen, and the perfect amount of space for small to mid-size events! Highly recommend for any event you have coming up!

So we are not finding out the gender of Baby Rains, so a Boho / Southwest Baby Shower theme was perfect for us! Very neutral with green and beige tones. Chris’ family did such an amazing job decorating everything, it was so pretty! Some easy and affordable things I highly recommend for a Boho Baby Shower:

  • Pampas Grass
  • Green table cloths for a pop of color
  • Balloon Arch with greens, cream / beige, gold, and light coral
  • Lots of greenery accents like eucalyptus
  • Metal + Wood pieces (cake stand, drink tub, picture frames, etc.)
  • Tall Wicker Chairs for Mom / Dad to sit + open gifts

For food we catered barbeque (pulled pork + smoked shredded chicken) and then Chris’ family either made or purchased the sides themselves. Everything was amazing and this was a great way to save money! For sides we had pasta salad, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, coleslaw, and then had the buns to go with the bbq. They also did water infused with lemon + lime & my sister-in-law made an amazing punch! We did cupcakes for dessert (less hassle than cake) and decorated sugar cookies.

For games we had a bottle drinking contest for the men. They had to chug apple juice from baby bottles and the top 3 that finished first got a prize. We also played one where Chris & I sat back-to-back and held up either Lips or a Mustached sign to designate who we thought would be the person most likely to do a certain thing from a list of 10 that everyone got on a piece of paper (example: who will change more diapers). Last game was just for me and Chris! We were blindfolded and had to undress + change a baby doll diaper then re-dress it.
