Hello friends! Can you believe it’s about that time to start breaking out the fall decor and pumpkin spice everything?! Seriously, I’m so ready for booties, floppy hats, and ALL the cozy sweaters! Well.. it will probably be 90+ degrees here in TN until October, so I may need to hold off on the sweaters for just a bit.
That’s why I was so excited to find this plaid duster from Express! It’s really light-weight so I can start wearing it now and not get overheated and it still gives all the fall vibes. I also love how versatile this duster is. You can pair it so many different ways and it goes really well with denim, black, white, and brown (all the fall neutrals!). Obviously I can’t buy all the clothes, so I love when I find an item I can re-wear multiple ways.

With Shorts and Wedges

This will be my #1 way to style this duster until it cools down here below the Mason Dixon line. This duster pairs really nicely with denim, black, and white shorts so whatever kind you own you should be good! My favorite way was with my black denim shorts and a white cami bodysuit. I like that the white cami brings out the white stripes in the duster.
I also wore a pair of wedges in this look, so really my whole outfit says summer but the duster brings me into fall, which is what I love about it! I mean, it is still almost 100 degrees here in TN so your girl needs to stay cool 🙂 All-in-all, if you’ve got a good pair of denim shorts, a white tank or t-shirt, and a pair of sandals in your closet, you can easily re-create this entire outfit!

With Jeans and Booties

Alright, this look is for when it finally starts to cool down a bit and you can break out the denim & booties. I’m pretty sure this will be one of my go-to, everyday looks this fall because it’s so easy! This duster is a great color and I think it will go with any denim wash, so just break out your favorite pair and throw on your most comfortable white tee to re-create this look. This is also a perfect outfit for casual Fridays at the office!
The jeans I’m wearing here are from Abercrombie and are seriously the best skinny jeans I’ve ever owned. They have really good stretch so they are super comfy but they also hug you in all the right places to make your figure look amazing! If you’re look for a new pair of denim for fall, definitely try these out!!
My booties are a dupe for a pair over $100 at Nordstrom but are half the price at $49! They have been tested by your’s truly for all day wear and comfort, and I’m happy to report that my feet did not hurt at all at the end of the day! They come in black, pink, and taupe, I’m wearing the taupe here and I love that they will go with all of my outfits.
As a Belted Dress with Heels

Soooooo technically this is a duster, BUT I think it can totally work as a dress if you belt it!! Now, this may not work for my taller ladies because of where the buttons stop, but it is perfect for my fellow petite girls! You can easily dress it up with some strappy heels like I did here or you can dress it down with a cute pair of booties.
Also, I don’t know why, but pairing a felt hat with a plaid top just SCREAMS fall to me and I love it. My hat is super affordable at only $15 from Amazon and it is really great quality. It comes in a ton of colors so the options are endless my friends!
